Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that affects the lining of the lung, the heart, and the abdomen. It is caused by exposure to asbestos. manageable size, it can then be removed by surgery.

 

The primary form of treatment in Mesothelioma is surgery. The removal of a tumor through surgery will depend on its size, location and how advanced it is. If it's too big as we have established it will be exposed to radiation to shrink it, then it will be removed. Some tumors may be advanced, and in organs that cannot be exposed to radiation, therefore, a part of the organ may be removed or the entire organ if it is too far gone. After surgery, there may still be some Mesothelioma cells remaining that could not be removed by surgery. They are eliminated by chemotherapy as the adjuvant therapy. Chemotherapy uses drugs to eliminate any cells that are growing and multiplying at an abnormally fast rate.
